Overview Of Abione
Abiraterone acetate, a hormone therapy medicine, treats prostate cancer, mostly in adult men. It is used in the early stage with testosterone-lowering treatment. Abione medicine is not for women and children.
Pharmacodynamics
In many prostate cancers, testosterone stimulates the uncontrollable growth of cancer cells in the patient’s body. Abione tablets prevent the production of androgen which is a male hormone. Thus, Abione will be inhibiting an enzyme (CYP17) that is responsible for the production of androgen in males. As a result, it stops the growth and spreading of the cancer cells.
